On Monday 12th October 2020, Kanwal Warnervale Rovers Football Club held our Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Wallarah Bay Recreation Club. Of our current 853 members (Combination of players and coaches) we had a total of 15 people attend last night’s meeting. This is extremely disappointing.

The AGM is more than just a place where the clubs financial audits are submitted and General Club business such as Grading etc are discussed, it is where the Committee for the coming year is elected. Unfortunately, once again we are in the unenviable situation of having a number of positions left vacant this year.

We would like to congratulate and thank the following people for becoming members of the committee:

 

President  Ross Ankrett
Vice President Tom Freeman
Secretary Mrs. Chris Tatum
Treasurer Tony Oehm
Gears Officer  Maxine Oehm

Women’s Football Jennifer Tatum
MPIO Christine Knight


This leaves the following positions needing to be filled for next season:

 - Senior Football Manager

 

  • Handle all issues relating to the Senior Teams Squad/MAA/M35/M45 
  • Recommend to the Executive, the number of Club teams and their recommended
    grading for submission to CCF 
  • Be available for table roster/ground official at home games; 
  • Attend General meeting 3 times per year (May/June/August) and the Annual General
    meeting October each year. 
 - Mini Roos Football Manager
  • Be responsible for the organisation, management and efficient control of all matters directly related to the playing of football within the Club Under 5 to Under 11 
  • Conduct Grading of Team’s U8 to U11 as per the Club Grading Policy
  • Recommend to the Executive, the number of Club teams and their recommended grading for submission to CCF
  • Correspond with MPIO that all Coaches & Managers meet requirements to do with
    Working With Children check 
  • Be available for table roster/ground official at home games; 
  • Attend General meeting 3 times per year (May/June/August) and the Annual General
    meeting October each year. 
- Junior Football Manager
  • Be responsible for the organisation, management and efficient control of all matters directly related to the playing of football within the Club Under 12 to Men’s 18's 
  • Conduct Grading of Team U12 to Men’s 18’s as per the Club Grading Policy
  • Recommend to the Executive, the number of Club teams and their recommended grading for submission to CCF
  • Correspond with MPIO that all coaches managers meet requirements to do with
    Working With Children check 
  • Be available for table roster/ground official at home games; 
  • Attend General meeting 3 times per year (May/June/August) and the Annual General
    meeting October each year. 
Registrar
  • Keep a record of all persons registered with the Club as Players, Coaches or Managers, Team leaders and supply a copy to the Secretary; 
  • Liaise with the Treasurer to ensure that all registration fees owed by registered Players are collected; 
  • Liaise with the Treasurer to ensure registration fees are paid in full for players to play; 
  • Be available for table roster/ground official at home games; 
  • Attend General meeting 3 times per year (May/June/August) and the Annual General
    meeting October each year.
- Fixtures Officer
  • Liaise with CCF regarding changes and amendments to matches and forfeits 
  • Inform Coaches or Managers/Team Leaders and the webmaster regarding alterations or amendments to Club matches 
  • Notify teams on game day if they are on set up or pack up of fields 
  • Be available for table roster/ground official at home games; 
  • Attend General meeting 3 times per year (May/June/August) and the Annual General
    meeting October each year.

A motion has been passed calling for a Special General Meeting on Monday 23rd November 2020, where the future of the club will be discussed if we are unable to find people to fill the above vacant positions. 

This is a decision that hasn’t been taken lightly. Unfortunately we are a large club with a declining number of volunteers to keep it running.
